OUR APPROACH
The Melted Methods
Genius Wefts: We use a concealed bead sew-in technique, which means all beadwork sits neatly between the wefts. Not visible from the top. Not visible from underneath. Just hair that falls and moves the way it should.
Nano Rings/Beads: We use many small individual 1 gram bundles of hair that have metal loops that insert into nano beads looped into your hair. This method is great for filling in areas where wefts can't go as a hybrid method or as a full install for maximum flexibility for pony tail wearers.
The Hair
We exclusively use our own Melted Salon Private Collection because we know exactly how it colors, how it lasts, and how it wears. That's not something we're willing to compromise on. It's also why we don't install hair brought in.
All hair is 100% human hair, remy & double drawn for more volume towards the ends.
*Exceptions are made if you're already wearing hair and are looking for a new salon home. As long as the hair is in good condition we're happy to continue maintence for the life span of that hair. This is case by case and assessed during a consultation prior to any maintenance appointments.

FAQ
Q: Will extensions damage my hair?
Not with the concealed bead sew-in method. There's no glue, no heat, and no adhesive anywhere near your natural hair. The beads sit between the wefts, completely hidden, and when installed correctly by a trained specialist, your hair grows freely underneath. We've seen clients wear extensions for years with zero damage to their natural hair.
Q: How long do they last?
Your wefts themselves can last 12+ months with proper care. You'll come back every 6–8 weeks for a maintenance appointment where we move the beads up as your hair grows. Think of it less like a service and more like a relationship — we're with you through every grow-out.
Q: How much do extensions cost?
Every set is fully customized to your hair's density, texture, length goals and the amount of hair needed to get you there, so pricing varies. New guest consultations are the best place to start. We'll look at your hair, talk through your goals, and give you a clear picture of investment before anything is booked.
Q: Can I color my extensions?
Yes! And this is one of the reasons we're particular about the hair we use. Our Melted Private Collection is specifically selected for its ability to take color beautifully and consistently. Your extensions will be color matched at installation and can be refreshed at your maintenance appointments.
Q: How do I take care of them at home?
Every new extension client leaves with full size products and a complete care guide. The basics: brush from ends up, sleep in a loose braid or bun, avoid applying product directly to the beads, and use sulfate-free shampoo. It sounds like more than it is, most of our clients say they forget they have extensions within the first week.
Q: Can I still put my hair in a ponytail?
Most clients can, yes, but it really depends on your natural hair. If your hair is on the finer or more fragile side, we generally recommend avoiding styles that put tension on the hair over time. And for some hair types, particularly very fine or lighter blonde hair, there simply may not be enough natural hair below to keep everything fully concealed in an upstyle.
The honest answer is, it's case by case. At your consultation we'll look at your hair and give you a realistic picture of what styling will work best for your specific situation. We'd rather set you up for success than overpromise.
Q: I've had bad experiences with extensions before. Why would Melted be different?
Because most bad extension experiences come down to three things, wrong method for the hair type, low quality hair, or under-trained installation. We specialize exclusively in the concealed bead sew-in method, we use only our own curated hair collection, and every stylist doing extensions at Melted is specifically trained in this technique. We're not a salon that does extensions on the side. It's in our name.
